The agreement, which will begin with the fall/winter 2017-18, entrusts Brave Kid with the production and worldwide distribution of the Trussardi Junior line, which is aimed at girls and boys between ages 4 and 14. The lines includes clothing and accessories inspired by the brand’s adult collections. Launched in the fall / winter 1983-84, Trussardi Junior was first under license to the Italian company Supergin, then Idea Spa. At the end of 2013, a deal was signed with I Pinco Pallino based Bergamo, Italy and specialized for over thirty years in junior upscale clothing. But that company is now struggling, and has meanwhile gone into receivership. Acquired in July 2015 by the Chinese Lunar Capital background, it is now being reorganized.
Thus, Brave Kid has picked up another prestigious name to add to its brand portfolio and licenses. The OTB division specializes in kids clothing and accessories and handles the junior collections for Diesel Kid, John Galliano Kids, Dsquared2 and Marni Bambina. These lines are present in 50 countries through more than 1,000 stores. Trussardi Junior will “allows us to further strengthen our leading position in the children’s wear segment worldwide,” said CEO Brave Kid Germano Ferraro in a press statement.
